Krisha & Frank stop for lunch andat the Greenback Drug Store & Diner on Morganton Road, across from the Greenback Post Office.
Frank chose to have a chicken salad sandwich, which was Tuesday’s special. Krisha ordered Wednesday’s special: country-fried steak, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. The other specials are Mama’s meatloaf on Mondays, hamburger steak plate on Thursdays, and soup and salad on Fridays.
Waitress Brenda says the locals like to come for breakfast. She says the Greenback Diner is famous for their fried honey buns and brings one over to entice Krisha & Frank.
