Krisha has been working long hours at the theater. She is calling in from the parking lot between shows. The podcast recording schedule got thrown off when she was called in to work as an emergency fill-in for someone. It may take another couple of days to get back on track.

Frank has a new roof and is awaiting installation of his new gutters. The roofers had a problem when replacing the plywood over Frank’s bathroom. They accidentally broke through the ceiling. Globs of cellulose insulation covered the toilet and floor.

Frank’s grandson told him that last week’s story about his birthday present was “TMI.” Frank’s daughter revealed to him that he embarrassed her when she was young by mentioning on the radio that she listened to songs from The Sound of Music as she went to sleep.

Krisha thought she lost the key to an important cabinet at the theater. She found it in the chest pocket of her overalls. Krisha & Frank both tried to make the “plenty of room” joke. While on their joint YouTube account, Frank was shown a targeted ad for smaller women’s lingerie.

132 - Trick Questions

Krisha bought a car that will reliably get her to her job in Pigeon Forge. She starts to describe it in a baby-talk voice. Frank’s great-uncle Bill liked to use baby talk to get laughs. When she was a teenager, Frank’s mom chastised her uncle Bill for using baby talk in front of his children.

Krisha tries to get Frank to use baby talk but he struggles. His children and grandchildren have good diction.

Frank ordered a magic kit as a birthday gift for his grandson Artie. Frank helped him learn one of the tricks while on FaceTime. Artie performed the trick at his birthday party that evening.

Artie’s great-aunts both wanted to give him hand puppets. After some initial confusion, Frank’s daughter got it sorted out.

Frank’s new neighbor has noisy dogs. Frank heard them barking loudly at 12:30 a.m. and was tempted to text the neighbor. What should he do?

Krisha & Frank received a photo of their friend Myranda wearing a logo hoodie and a photo of Aaron wearing a logo t-shirt. Thanks you guys!

Krisha has lost some weight while working hard at Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud. The 11:00 a.m. show audience eats the same chicken and potatoes meal as the nighttime audiences.

Frank and his wife went to Mass on Easter morning. Some of his Facebook friends avoid the word “Easter” and refer to it as “Resurrection Sunday” instead. Easter lasts eight days in the Catholic Church.

Frank and Jere colored eggs on Saturday. Jere made a four-colored egg. Frank scribbled on one and called it a “Jackson Pollock.” Jere suggested a topic for today by buying a bag of candy that resembles circus peanuts.

Frank went looking for rocks in his yard on Saturday. It looked like he was on an Easter egg hunt. He is placing the rocks along the property line.

Frank says he’s a bad singer and dancer but Krisha disagrees. She says he’s not as bad as he thinks he is. He was able to do some basic steps in The Nutcracker.

When she plays Ma McCoy, Krisha has a resemblance to Granny Clampett. Her boot laces got tangled and caused her to fall during a show. She stayed in character and crawled. The tech director thought she did it on purpose.

Frank and his wife have become fans of Daniel and Majella's B&B Road Trip. The show aired on Irish television. It stars singer Daniel O’Donnell and his wife Majella. They spend 11 days traveling across Ireland, going on adventures, and staying in a bed & breakfast. Daniel is a big star in Ireland. One of the B&B owners could barely contain her excitement. Today is April Fool’s Day. Krisha once told her mom that there was a burn mark on her power suit. It didn’t go well. Frank recalls some dumb radio stunts.

Krisha’s sleeve is wet because Frank accidentally dumped the top part of a Brita filter pitcher on her hand and wrist while trying to fill her tea cup.

Krisha & Frank both like Easter candy. When Frank auditioned for a radio job in Knoxville, he did a bit that involved stuffing as many Marshmallow Peeps in his mouth as he could.

Frank received a magazine from a supermarket that had a “recipe” for Peeps s’mores except that they wouldn’t use the word Peeps, instead referring to the product as “sugar-coated chick or bunny marshmallows.”

Krisha made a Facebook post that said “In a relationship… with Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs.” It got lots of comments and reactions. Krisha likes the ratio of chocolate to peanut butter in the eggs better than in standard peanut butter cups.

Krisha likes to shop in the “old-people candy section” at the drugstore. She gets spearmint leaves, orange slices, and other candies.

Frank’s mother’s cousin sent a nice message to Krisha & Frank via Facebook. The message arrived one evening after Frank had been working in the yard and had decided to offer up his physical discomfort for the souls of the dead, especially his father.

Cousin Bill’s message mentioned that Frank’s dad always said he was proud of Frank, which came as a surprise. Frank forwarded the message to his sisters, one of whom questioned Frank’s thought that their dad might be in purgatory.

Krisha & Frank decided to take a few days off for Easter. They won’t have shows on Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Monday.

Krisha is working full-time at Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud. She worked 66 hours last week. Spring break is one of the peak seasons in Pigeon Forge. The heavy schedule reminds Krisha of the jobs she had performing in Orlando theme parks.

Frank is impressed that all the actors in the show have additional roles behind the scenes or in the front of the house as greeters or photographers or servers.

Today is T.A.C.O. Tuesday when Krisha & Frank Talk About Content Out of a basket. Today’s topic was submitted via email by Bruce Patrick. “What showbiz moment or performance are you most proud of?”

Krisha recalls not getting cast in the Big F.A.T. Holiday Cabaret but being hired as choreographer and stage manager. She said it was a pride-swallowing moment. Four days before the show opened, the actress who was chosen over Krisha dropped out of the show and Krisha was asked to step in. She worked hard to prepare and delivered a performance that made her proud.

Frank is proud of the elaborate live radio plays he directed and produced at KLOS. They recreated famous radio shows from the golden age of the medium.

127 - Feats in the Yard

Krisha & Frank are in their separate homes due to their busy schedules. Krisha has been working a lot at Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud.

Frank has sore muscles from doing yard work. He transplanted two fig bushes to places where they should get more sun. He has also been trying to dig up the roots of some unwanted hedge bushes and redbud trees.

Frank put some rocks along part of his property line. He also dug some holes to plant fig cuttings along the property line. He got anxious thinking his neighbor had put up caution tape but it turned out to be forsythia flowers.

Krisha has been very busy at Hatfield & McCoy because all the shows are selling out during Spring Break. Other Pigeon Forge attractions have also reported high attendance.

Krisha is shopping for a car. Some car dealers have assumed she has to ask her husband. Another called her “darling.” She will not purchase anything from those dealers.

Frank’s neighbor has two redbuds that are getting in the way of Frank’s big fig tree. The neighbor said he would cut the trees some day. While talking with Frank on Friday afternoon, the neighbor said let’s do it now! The neighbor told Frank to hold the tree as it fell and push it away from the fence and fig tree. Frank realized it would be safer to get a rope and to pull the tree from the other end of the rope.

126 - Podcast Barn

Krisha & Frank coincidentally made vaccine appointments within 45 minutes of each other at the same location. They decided to carpool but Krisha realized that if she was in the passenger seat, her right arm would get the shot. She surprised Frank by climbing into the back seat and sitting behind him.

Krisha gets anxiety about things she can’t control. She worried about the slight possibility of having an allergic reaction. Frank tried to calm her by saying that he had an epi-pen somewhere in the house and that he could use it on her if need be.

Krisha took six selfies in the car during the 15 minute waiting period after the shot. Frank said it seemed like she took twelve. Another person at the clinic seemed to have a reaction to the shot, which caused a delay. Fortunately, the person seemed to be okay after the paramedics arrived.

Krisha wants to buy some slippers and decides there should be a store called Slipper Barn. In fact all stores should be some type of Barn.

125 - Frying Pan Brain

Frank Jr. sent Jere a frying pan for her birthday. He added a $5 spatula to the order so he would get free shipping. Frank was anxious about using the new frying pan to cook his eggs for breakfast. He thought about eating something else or perhaps finding the old frying pan and using it.

Krisha recently got a cast-iron frying pan. She cooked a steak by heating the pan to 500°, searing the steak, and then letting the heat of the pan cook the meat without putting the pan back in the oven.

Krisha watched a 40-minute workout video while in bed. She has started meal-prepping, including a meal that was like beef with broccoli. Her sweet tooth kicked in and she made a dessert from a recipe on TikTok. She mixed a half a box of sugar-free Jello into a tub of Cool Whip and let it refreeze.

Krisha channels the Muppets when they realize that they have to rush out the door to an appointment. Details tomorrow!
