075 -Wipe Right
Wednesday Jan 13, 2021
Wednesday Jan 13, 2021
Krisha & Frank know several people who may permanently shift to working from home. Frank read some advice suggesting that those people should still take time to “commute” to work rather than dive straight in.
Krisha sometimes loses her taste for coffee. Frank still drinks the same amount but wasn’t enjoying it. His daughter made better-tasting coffee using fewer scoops of grounds than Frank used.
Krisha’s windshield wipers froze to the windshield when it snowed on Christmas Eve. She has procrastinated replacing the broken wiper. She also puts off going to the bank and getting gas.
Frank and his wife often get gas in both cars at the same time. Krisha’s mamaw used to drive out of her way to fill up her mauve Cadillac at a full-service gas station in Bearden

074 - Mug It Up
Tuesday Jan 12, 2021
Tuesday Jan 12, 2021
Krisha is house and dog sitting for some friends, one of whom is a local actor. Frank said hello to the actor at the Lampshade Kroger but it was very awkward. Krisha usually shops at the Fellini Kroger but would prefer to go to the Bougie Kroger if she could.
Frank found some of his old headshots from the Comedy World Radio Network. You can see the photographer reflected in Frank’s glasses. He stapled one to the wall at a barbeque joint in Burbank.
Krisha received a coffee mug with a photo of her at Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre. Frank thinks she shouldn’t use the mug but Krisha disagrees. Frank says that type of mug stains too easily.

Krisha is wearing a Del Close Marathon t-shirt, which reminds Frank of the time he asked Del’s significant other, Charna Halpern, about Del’s skull. Frank gives Krisha a pair of vintage sunglasses that used to belong to Jere’s Aunt Dee.
Krisha asks Frank what he doesn’t like about Billy Joel songs. Frank prefers female singers in pop, rock, soul, disco, opera, etc.
Krisha gave Frank a 3D Dino Stone project to paint with Artie. Frank shows off photos and video of them painting the resin dinosaur. Frank originally thought they had to match the picture on the box but Artie used different, better colors.
Krisha was inspired to paint an aura. She also wants to take a pottery class, which Frank thinks she should try to do in Sevier County.

Frank was surprised when his sister in the DC area said she watched a Knoxville newscast on Roku. While Frank’s grandson Artie was visiting, he listened to past episodes of the Krisha & Frank Show as he fell asleep.
When they went for a walk around the neighborhood, Artie thought the neighbors should recognize him from the podcast. Krisha remembers joking with Artie when he was three years old.
Frank’s sister made a Santa-shaped cake for Christmas. Artie had an unusual suggestion for how to make it the next time. Frank didn’t realize that Krisha stuck around to play another round of video games with Artie. Krisha loved playing with Frank’s seven-month-old granddaughter.

Krisha has a new haircut and style. The cast got choked up at the end of the last show ever at Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre. Their friend Tim Coleman worked at Sweet Fanny since before Krisha was born.
Krisha spent New Year’s Day in the emergency room. She has a cracked rib and an irregular heartbeat. She might have cracked the rib while being squeezed into a tight costume. While in the ER, Krisha organized her purse and wrote songs about her heartbeat.
Krisha is on a social media hiatus. She removed the apps from her phone and has received emails from Facebook, Instagram, and others trying to get her to log back in.

Krisha is taking a hiatus from social media. Frank says that her friends and fans will have to watch this show to keep up with her.
Krisha read an article suggesting that newly dating couples refrain from holding hands or kissing for the first three months. Frank says that would be a return to old-fashioned courtship. Krisha says that it’s like dating online for three months before meeting in person.
Frank Jr. is a fan of a British game show called Only Connect hosted by Victoria Coren Mitchell. She has a biting wit that makes the show funny. Contestants have to find the link between four items. It can be hard for Americans to understand when they use uniquely British terms like “hob” or “kitchen extractor.”
Krisha’s Welsh friend used the term “push-chair” to mean stroller. When Frank worked at KROQ, Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran asked him for a “loud-talker.” Eventually they figured out that he meant a bullhorn.

Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
Frank’s grandson Artie is pretending to be Frank. Krisha asks him about playing Mario Kart and his opinion of Billy Joel. Artie pranked Krisha with a plastic poo.
Google Photos made a panoramic photo from four pictures of pallbearers carrying Frank’s mother’s casket. Krisha says Google made a collage of photos of a pimple.
Artie says he was mature at his great-grandmother’s funeral and when he visited her in the hospice. Frank imagines his mother might not appreciate him using the coffin pano picture on the show.
Krisha challenges Frank to play Mario Kart on the show. He gets dizzy from the experience. Krisha wins and Frank comes in last, behind Artie.

068 - Wouldya Look at the Crowd
Monday Jan 04, 2021
Monday Jan 04, 2021
Merry 11th day of Christmas! Frank’s wife Jere has redecorated the set for January. Krisha has a friend who listens to the podcast but doesn't watch the YouTube videos and was puzzled by the slurping sound when Krisha drank her hot chocolate in episode 64.
Frank asked his wife for the same Visit Knoxville snow globe he had given to Krisha. He got a little choked up when he saw the representation of Patrick Sullivan’s Saloon in the snow globe. Krisha & Frank both performed at Patrick Sullivan’s with the comedy improv troupe Einstein Simplified.
Frank gave his wife the game Knoxville-opoly for Christmas. He played the game with her but he kept getting sent to “traffic jail” and he lost the game by a wide margin.
Frank bought an outfit for Jere from her Amazon Wish List. He reused a gift tag with her handwriting that said “To Jere From Frank.” She was surprised that he bought the fancier outfit from the choices on her list.
Krisha had a lovely Christmas in the snow with her kids. They enjoyed watching the Pixar film Soul. Frank avoided the snow as much as he could. Krisha caught herself saying “parent things” when she took her kids to Zoo Lights at Zoo Knoxville.

067 - Year in the Headlights
Thursday Dec 31, 2020
Thursday Dec 31, 2020
Happy New Year’s Eve! It’s the 7th day of Christmas. Krisha & Frank are wearing ties and Krisha thinks she looks like she’s in show choir.
Frank is mad at himself for letting mildew grow in his rubber drinking straw. Krisha uses pipe cleaners on her water bottle.
Frank enjoys wearing ties. Jere makes him a spreadsheet for his wardrobe on East Tennessee PBS Scholars’ Bowl. Krisha says it’s comparable to her categories of underwear.
Frank will miss out on hosting New Year’s on the Square in downtown Knoxville. Krisha is glad that she will spend her last night of the year on stage as Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre closes forever.
During the shutdown, Krisha has been able to watch online performances by artists she wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Frank has watched Knoxville Opera and Marble City Opera performances online.
Krisha & Frank recall some positive moments from 2020 and show clips of Frank ringing in 2020 on Market Square. Can we blame him?

066 - Sing Me Out Jere
Wednesday Dec 30, 2020
Wednesday Dec 30, 2020
It's the 6th day of Christmas. Krisha only has two shows left at Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre before it permanently closes. Traffic has been extremely heavy in Gatlinburg. She is looking forward to getting outside and running more often.
Frank has a list of reasons why he hates winter. His mom had prints of three paintings by her cousin. The prints show scenes of autumn, winter, and spring. Frank Jr. will take two of the prints but somehow Frank Sr. got stuck with the winter print, which he doesn’t want.
Krisha donated some coats to charity. She had hoped to volunteer on Christmas Day but the charities she asked were not accepting volunteers due to COVID.
A few years ago, Jere’s mom was in a hospice on Christmas Day. Frank and Jere were looking for an open restaurant that morning. They went into a pancake restaurant but found out that the restaurant was only serving homeless people that morning.
That afternoon, they were listening to Handel’s Messiah on WETA-FM in the hospice room. Jere sang along with the Hallelujah Chorus and her mom passed shortly thereafter.
