Krisha & Frank Show - 057 Something Real Nice
Krisha’s outfit reminds Frank of the “Choreography” number from White Christmas. Krisha mentions A Christmas Carol and Frank tells her about the time he played Scrooge’s nephew Fred in a production of it at KLOS. Krisha noticed some Christmas gifts that Frank’s wife Jere has already wrapped. Frank got them mixed up with other gifts going to his grandchildren, leading Jere to ask, “Were you even there?” Krisha discovers that Jere wraps gifts for herself but labels them “from Frank.”
Frank says it is normal for Jere to buy herself something nice and wrap it up for Christmas. Leave a comment with your opinion. He has also bought her gifts like a mixer and a washer and dryer. Frank checks Jere’s Amazon wish list to see if there’s something she wants this year.

Krisha asks Frank if he’s driven around to look at Christmas lights. Some houses have light shows synchronized to music. Krisha was amazed by the KARM thrift store that only sells Christmas items. Frank says he and his wife already have most of the things she describes.
Frank preferred looking at Christmas lights in Burbank because the houses were closer together. Krisha thinks Frank and his wife should take an Uber or a limo to look at light displays in East Tennessee.

Krisha & Frank Show - 055 Hits Parade

Krisha often forgets to remove her coat and then gets overheated while driving during the winter. She misses having “heat seaters” in the car. Frank has hand-warmers they could use at the parade. He also has an ice pack that can be microwaved to become a heating pad.
Frank was reorganizing his underwear drawer and discovered that it is better to use the bottom drawer rather than the top drawer. Krisha realizes that the HVAC vent must make his underwear delightfully warm in the winter and delightfully cool in the summer.

Krisha loves commemorative t-shirts and suggests Frank could have a blanket made from the ones that don’t fit. She buys shirts for herself in the kids section of thrift stores.

Krisha has the barbeque tongs that Frank thought he could use to reach the start button on the video camera.

Krisha had plumbing problems at her house. Dirty water gurgled up into her toilet, shower, sink, and washing machine. The problem seems to be an accumulation of flushed personal wipes.
Frank received a holiday greeting letter from Dr. Bill Bass and his wife Carol. Dr. Bass wrote that at 92, he has not yet “reached retirement age.” Frank saw a news blurb that long holiday letters are supposedly “out” this year. Frank loves reading overly optimistic holiday letters that come in Christmas cards.

Krisha & Frank are griping about Google Maps sending tourists on back roads to get to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
Some insurance plans make you use Walgreen’s or CVS but not the other one. Krisha says most CVS locations have carpeting. Frank discovered that the hand-baskets at Walgreen’s have wheels.

Frank once won a prize during a performance of Late Night Catechism for correctly defining the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. He also won a prize during Nunsense.

Frank had an idea for a good gift for Krisha but she has a hard time accepting gifts. Frank learned how to accept a compliment by using the principles of improv.
Frank has a baby plant for show and tell. His wife Jere put an avocado pit in water and it grew roots. They planted it in potting soil and it has grown leaves. Krisha asks Frank to name the avocado seedling, and he calls it Avogadro.
Krisha has a cutting from her father’s aloe plant named Mothra. Krisha wants a Christmas cactus. Her kids think she needs several more plants in her home.

Krisha got her mamaw’s smoking sweater, which had tissues in the pocket. She is better at picking up her own tissues now that she lives alone. Frank says when you’re married, you have to give up waiting for your spouse to pick up whatever it is that you think they should pick up.

Krisha didn’t like the online coverage of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She did like the inclusion of representatives from other New York parades that were canceled during 2020.

Krisha is considering buying an artificial Christmas tree for the first time in her life. She has been a real tree person for her whole life. Krisha asks if Frank’s dad was similar to the Old Man in A Christmas Story. Frank remembers listening to Jean Shepherd on WOR radio.

Krisha has certain shows she likes to watch to unwind after performing in theatre. Frank had such a backlog of shows on his DVR that he eventually gave up. Krisha has started watching The Crown, which Frank’s wife also watches.
Frank and his wife watched a Christmas movie called Holidate that they thought was going to be a chick flick. Krisha says that some movies are intentionally bad like Sharknado.
