018 - Swedish Flea

Krisha & Frank both wore maroon without planning it advance. Krisha says she gets most of her clothes from the kids section. Krisha was having dinner with her fellow cast members from Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre. They saw a guy attack a soda machine and then get into a vehicle that surprised Krisha.

Krisha thinks Frank should go on the flea market circuit. She saw a Pee-wee Herman doll for sale for $60 even though its pull-string was broken. Frank thinks Krisha wants him to do the “Swedish death cleanse challenge.”

017 - Grave Mistake

Krisha is using a Jameson koozie for her Coke Zero. Frank is reminded of the one time in his life that he drank Jameson whiskey. It was while waiting for the gravediggers to open the correct grave for Frank’s great-uncle Jim after they almost put him in the wrong hole.

Krisha accidentally got rid of all her drinking glasses in the move to her new place. Frank has set up a craft services tray for Krisha in case she gets hungry.

Frank has fig envy. His neighbor has a different breed of fig tree than he does. Frank tasted one of her figs while cat-sitting and then asked his neighbor for a cutting. Although not a cat person, Frank played with the cat next door while his neighbor was out of town. Krisha’s granny once froze a dead pet cat until Krisha’s dad could bury it.

016 - Ted Bundy Exhibit

Krisha & Frank are at Alcatraz East Crime Museum in Pigeon Forge to get a preview of the new temporary exhibit, “From Car to Incarceration… Ted Bundy’s Final Arrest” that opens to the public on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Chief Operating Officer Janine Vaccarello joins Krisha & Frank for an interview about the case of Bundy’s final victim, 12-year-old Kimberly Leach. Bundy said that violent pornography ignited the beast in him when combined with what he called “liquid courage.”

015 - Hereby Pronounce

Krisha is wearing a jacket with butterflies and can talk like a butterfly. Frank thinks she could do cartoon voices. Krisha thinks Frank’s daughter Meaghan could also do cartoon voices. Krisha wants to buy some of Meaghan’s artwork.

Frank has trouble remembering to correctly pronounce realtor. Krisha has trouble pronouncing Sunsphere and “ancient sheep herder.” Frank suggests Krisha try it in a British accent and then is excited that she sounds like Emma Thompson.

014 - Remember the Al & Mo

Krisha suggests asking talented friends to contribute a theme song for the podcast. Frank “Little Timmy,” an accordion player who performed at the Lawrence Welk Resort and Theatre. Krisha reveals that she loves the Lawrence Welk Show, which she watches on East Tennessee PBS.

Krisha is a fan of Big Al the Aldabra tortoise at Zoo Knoxville. Big Al follows Krisha on Twitter. Krisha wants to meet Big Al in person. Frank recommends Zoo Knoxville’s Vimeo channel, which has a Big Al video: https://vimeo.com/462748610 

Frank had a pet tortoise in California which died from a common respiratory disease. A taxidermist in Alabama freeze-dried the tortoise.

013 - Old Man Candy Corn Fight

Krisha is hungry. Frank had offered to put out a craft services table but she only ate a salted caramel protein bar. Krisha misses eating inside Waffle House. They each have favorite Waffle House waitresses and pro tips on how to order your omelette and your waffle. Krisha thinks Frank is tainting the waffle. 

Frank’s friend Bean went to a restaurant in London called Duck & Waffle. Krisha has an idea for “The Duck & Flapjack.” Frank was homely in high school. Krisha wants to see the pictures that might be in storage somewhere. Bean is a candy corn lover. Frank loves a sweet and salty combination like the “redneck trail mix” their friend Buttons makes every year. Krisha wants the recipe to learn the type of peanuts and the ratio of nuts to candy corn.

Krisha asked Frank to nag her about sitting up straight when on camera. Frank’s wife, “Jere the Brave” bought the porch furniture for the old podcast. Krisha points out that Frank is very lucky to have a wife like Jere, who appreciates his work. Frank says he is a fanboy of his wife’s singing with the Knoxville Choral Society and the Knoxville Opera Chorus.

Krisha is moving to a new place and shopping for furniture at thrift stores. She scooped up an antique table before two other people could buy it. The table was recently donated by someone whose late mother had lived in Japan. Frank reminisces about his Grandma, who got a job in a thrift store to have access to potential antiques. Krisha thinks she may have a burgeoning antiquing problem.

011- Pain of My Existence

Frank and his wife sent a birthday gift to his grandson and some Anakeesta coasters for his daughter and son-in-law. Krisha wants to go to Anakeesta. 

Krisha has pains in her arm and they might be showbiz-related. Frank offers her acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or naproxen sodium. Maybe she should go to a chiropractor.

Frank is upset about the resealable packaging for underpants. Krisha admits that she has opened an underwear package in the store.

Frank received a package in the mail from China, and Krisha doesn’t recognize the contents.

010 - Politics and Manholes

Frank compares politics to campaigns for student body president. Politics make Krisha weary. She likes her weighted blanket. 

Outdoor nature noises are part of the podcast, but sometimes we hear helicopters or wood chippers. When Krisha arrived, the utility company was working on Frank’s street. They told Frank that they had to flush his manhole. Frank didn’t even know he had one.

009 - Pocket Wipes

Krisha has a packet of pumpkin spice coffee creamer to the podcast porch. She loves fall but Frank says fall is the funeral for summer and that winter is death.

Frank tried two pumpkin cream cold brews with different results. Krisha only orders Americanos.
